APS' governing documents set forth the rules and structure of the organization to ensure sound governance, accountability, and alignment with our core values.

To ensure transparency, APS makes our governing documents publicly available so that our leadership, membership, donors, and others may reference them.

Constitution and Bylaws

As adopted by the Board of Directors and approved by the APS Council of Representatives, April 20, 2026, the APS Constitution and Bylaws set forth the purpose, structure, elections, and meetings of the Society.

Articles of Incorporation

Amended and restated, as approved by the Council of Representatives on August 16, 2014, APS's Articles of Incorporation establish the Society as a nonprofit organization.

Policies and procedures governing APS leadership

APS's leadership is accountable to our policies and procedures that lay out the roles and responsibilities of the Board of Directors and Council of Representatives, as well as Board and Council joint oversight.
