Student member benefits

More choices. More access to connect, collaborate, and belong
APS' new membership plans offer students access to the benefits of Full membership with opportunities for free and reduced pricing. Explore flexible membership options, expanded global pricing access, auto-renew, and mobile payment features designed to help you stay connected to the physics community.
Free and reduced rates for students
We're dedicated to making student memberships affordable. The first year of membership is free for students joining APS for the first time. Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a degree-granting institution during the current year are eligible for free and reduced membership rates. All undergraduate and graduate students are automatically enrolled in the Full membership plan, giving them access to the full range of APS membership benefits.
In addition to first-year free APS membership, students receive two divisions or topical groups free.
Get started as an APS member by logging into your My APS account. If you do not have an account, you may create one.
