Jeanette Russo

Jeanette Russo is the APS Corporate Secretary. She plays a pivotal role in upholding sound governance practices and ensuring compliance. With extensive experience in corporate administration, she oversees Board meetings, maintains corporate records, and facilitates communication between the Board of Directors and the Society’s stakeholders.

In addition, Jeanette actively collaborates with the APS Council of Representatives and various committees that report to the Board and Council. She ensures these bodies operate smoothly and effectively by coordinating their activities and providing strategic guidance. Her efforts align the committees' work with overarching objectives and the vision, mission, and core values of the Society.

Jeanette's nearly two-decade career at APS is distinguished by her dedication to organizational excellence and exceptional leadership. As a key advisor to the Board, she ensures that APS policies and procedures align with best practices and legal standards. Her contributions facilitate the effective operation of the Society’s governing bodies and reinforce the organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical business principles.

Jeanette holds a degree in Biology from the University of Mary Washington. Her commitment to APS is evident in her ongoing efforts to stay informed about evolving governance trends, enhancing her expertise through professional development and active involvement with executive association management organizations.
