Melissa Dancy

Melissa Dancy, Ph.D., is an associate professor of physics at North Carolina State University. She is an education researcher, consultant, and advocate dedicated to transforming higher education physics culture. Her work focuses on systemic institutional change and faculty development with a particular interest in changing physics culture to be more compassionate and fair. Dancy has led multiple NSF-funded national initiatives evaluating how physics faculty adopt research-based instructional strategies, as well as how departmental norms impact historically excluded students and faculty.
