Jason LeGrand is the global director of development at APS, leading the association’s comprehensive fundraising strategy. His mission is to enhance the organization’s global reputation, reach, and potential to address some of the world’s most serious problems.
Jason LeGrand is the global director of development at the American Physical Society (APS), leading the association’s comprehensive fundraising strategy. His mission is to enhance the organization’s global reputation, reach, and potential to address some of the world’s most serious problems. His team focuses on activating the power of philanthropy to expand access, support emerging scientists, and deepen public engagement with science, directly supporting the programs and initiatives that sustain the APS mission year-round.
LeGrand is an experienced development leader with more than a quarter-century of experience at some of the world’s leading institutions, including UC Berkeley, UC Davis, the University of Maryland College Park, and Cornell University. LeGrand earned his BS in Mass Communication/Public Relations at Southeast Missouri State University, where he and husband have created the Jason LeGrand and Dr. Eric Burkholder Endowed Scholarship for Physics Education, and where he served six years on the University Foundation Board of Directors.
