Gerald C. Blazey

Gerald "Jerry" C. Blazey is an emeritus professor of physics at Northern Illinois University. An experimental particle physicist with over 500 publications, since retiring Blazey has served as a consultant and advisor for the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, the American Institute of Physics, and the American Physical Society.
Blazey previously served as vice president for research and innovation partnerships at Northern Illinois University and as assistant director for physical sciences in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. He earned his bachelor's degrees from South Dakota State University and his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. He is an APS Fellow.
