F. Fleming Crim

F. Fleming Crim is the John E. Willard Professor and Hilldale Professor of Chemistry Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an external science advisor to the Science Philanthropy Alliance. Crim’s research centers on chemical reaction dynamics and controlling chemical reactions through selective vibrational excitation.
Crim previously served as chief operating officer and assistant director for mathematical and physical sciences at the National Science Foundation. He earned his bachelor's degree from Southwestern University and his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Cornell University. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences and has received the Earle K. Plyler Prize from the American Physical Society.
