This award honors outstanding and sustained contributions by an early-career researcher in the field of biological physics.

Your gift supports the Early Career Award for Biological Physics Research

This award honors outstanding and sustained contributions by an early-career researcher in the field of biological physics. Presented annually by the APS Division of Biological Physics (DBIO), it includes a $2,000 cash prize, a certificate, and travel reimbursement of up to $1,000 for domestic travel or $1,500 for international travel. Additionally, the recipient will receive a registration waiver to attend the APS March Meeting, where they will be invited to give a talk and receive the award.

Since its inception in 2022, the award has recognized a distinguished group of emerging leaders in our field. DBIO has decided to increase the stipend to $3,000 and aims to endow the award permanently. Previously funded through DBIO’s operating budget, we are now working to secure $90,000 to celebrate and sustain this award for the future.
